John Arnott - Art

John Arnott lives in Edinburgh, Scotland. He specialises in landscapes, wildlife, portraits, trompe l'oeil, using a variety of mediums.
He is also a classical and ragtime guitarist, and a dab hand at card tricks. The painting left is part of a recent wildlife collection he completed during his spare time away from work.

Having spent many years travelling back and forth to Australia it is natural that much of his work is spread around the world, from business and bedroom walls in Australia to the galleries and homes of people living in Britain.
John has yet to try and 'make it' in the artworld however, preferring to create his magic quietly and show it to friends and family.
Whether this is because he feels it's not good enough, or because he just doesn't want the hassle of being famous, we're not sure.

We do know that John's work is acclaimed by fellow artists and critics alike, and we treasure the small collection of his work we have in our home. It is time the world knew about John Arnott.

This image is not what it appears to be.
John has just completed this five by three foot painting on a bathroom wall of a friends house. It looks like a tile mosaic, grouted and three dimensional, standing out from the wall.
It isn't. This is a painting, another John Arnott masterclass!
